Responsibilities

Performs strategic, operational and tactical force desposition analysis for the African continent.  Analyst will work closely with Intelligence agency to produce tailored products.

 

  • Researches and performs daily Modernized Integrated Data Base (MIDB) management of force disposition information critical to engagement, contingency, and mission planning for African nations.
  • Effectively applies extensive knowledge of advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques to complex work assignments
  • researching specific countries and their current events within the AOR in order to have a working knowledge and situational awareness needed to provide JRISE leadership information in the form of a presentation and/or oral brief.
  • Analyst produces reporting evaluations and source directed requirements via HOT-R and/or CHROME.

  • Additionally, established work requires analysts to produce Overviews/Assessments for Intelligence Community and USAFRICOM leadership.
  • Analyst coordinates with Joint Service Reserve members on a weekly basis by hosting a VTC, as well as frequently communicating via Tandberg and secure VOIP to review and assess information and message traffic.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years intelligence analysis experience or 3-4 years of military intelligence experience without a degree
  • Willingness to work one weekend per month with military reserve members

Analyst will also work one weekend a month with reserve members performing quality control on weekends throughout the month on MIDB and overview/assessments as assigned.  Serves as a SME for AFRICOM National Guard initiative, traveling to Fort Dix, New Jersey, on a quarterly basis to assist, brief and perform quality control as required.
